This website was created by and is run by the Health and Environmental Risk Division at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) to make the KAshinhou Tool for Ecotoxicity (KATE) ecotoxicity prediction system widely available to people involved in the management of chemical substances. KATE was developed by the Health and Environmental Risk Division at the NIES under contract with the Ministry of the Environment, Government of Japan.
